'Best version' of Xavier Worthy feeling rejuvenated in 2023 Austin (KXAN) - In Texas' season opening win against Rice, the Longhorns were never in real danger but the offense did sputter at times. Despite the slow moments, junior wide receiver Xavier Worthy didn't miss a beat.Seven catches for 90 yards in the win against the Owls for Worthy were both marks that led Texas. While putting up numbers like he always has, the third-year wideout feels different."I feel like I'm playing more relaxed," said Worthy. "Just doing me. Just having a smile about it. Going about it like the next play could be my last play. I'm just taking everything to mind and living my best life."The 2022 season was statistically impressive for Worthy but sure brought adversity. A lack of a connection on deep passes from quarterback Quinn Ewers and playing through a broken hand for part of the season made last fall tough for the Fresno native. It's been clear from an outside perspective that Worthy seems to be having more fun this year. His head coach sure agrees."The pers...

He will reportedly get $6 million guaranteed in the process with the contract extension as a whole worth up to $13 million. Leaf-peeping preview: Here’s what Colorado can expect for fall colors Colorado’s aspen stands are thriving, and that bodes well for fabulous leaf-peeping this fall according to one of the state’s leading forestry experts.Dan West, entomologist for the Colorado State Forest Service and a member of the faculty at Colorado State University, spent most of the past two months flying over the state’s 24 million acres of forest. The main purpose of his annual aerial observation tour is to assess forest health, but it also gives him a unique perspective to forecast the quality of fall foliage colors.“They look better than they’ve looked in a very long time,” West said. “Aspen look really well, even in places that over the last several years have kind of struggled.”As a result, West also is predicting a return to normal timing for the color change. He expects to see aspen in the northern mountains — generally north of Interstate 70 — to start turning in the middle of this month and run through the third or f...

Lexxa Kever and Trevor Bazley did the impossible: They extracted romance from an accounting class. The newlyweds met in 2013 during their first accounting class while working toward Master of Business Administration degrees at the University of Denver. Running late, Kever rushed to sit in the first empty chair she saw, unknowingly plopping down next to her future husband. The rest of their love story, they say, is history. No history courses were involved, but the couple couldn’t shake that accounting class. The amphitheater-style configuration. The wood-lined whiteboards at the front of the room. The bright windows.Room 300 in DU’s Daniels College of Business served as more than a repository for financial know-how to Kever and Bazley. Mad’s World: From AGT to Hollywood Dead – Madilyn Bailey is here to stay Mad’s World: If you’re going to appear as a contestant on one of the reality TV music competitions (America’s Got Talent, American Idol, The Voice, X-Factor), your best bet is to get to the last few, and then not win. That’s a tactic that has worked for the likes of Adam Lambert, Kat Robichaud, Melanie Martinez, and many more musicians who have gone on to forge a successful career post-television. Madilyn Bailey is the latest addition to that list.Bailey appeared on AGT in 2021, initially impressing the judges with a song made out of the hate comments she received online. She would go on to make it to the semi-finals before exiting, with magician Dustin Tavella eventually winning (Brooke Simpson, in fourth, was the highest placed musical act).“If I were to go back and say should I do this again, yeah I would,” Bailey says, two years later. “I think it was cool, because it exposed me to a brand new audience. I’m really glad I did it with already having 10-plus years of experience in ...
