Broncos OLB Nik Bonitto’s patience paid off in fourth quarter vs. Browns. Is he on verge of another hot streak?

The fourth-quarter blast of big plays probably felt like a long time coming for Nik Bonitto. With the Broncos leading by two scores and Cleveland down to No. 3 quarterback P.J. Walker, Bonitto and the Denver front seven revved up the pass-rush engine. He ripped around the left side for a sack on a second-and-11 early in the fourth. On the next play, he nearly forced Walker to fumble but got enough of the ball to ensure a third-and-15 pass fluttered harmlessly to the ground. Then Bonitto capped off the 29-12 win by meeting defensive lineman Zach Allen and dragging Walker down in the end zone for a safety.Bonitto had worked the entire day to chase Cleveland out of their preferred offensive style — being able to lean on a big offensive line and powerful run game — and finally in the end reaped the reward. It’s similar, in a way, to the patience required of Bonitto in recent weeks. He got off to a fast start this season, racking up 5.5 sacks over the Broncos’ first five games. Then the...Family of man shot by CHP officer on 105 Freeway files lawsuit

The Washington Supreme Court on Tuesday granted an emergency stay in the Pac-12’s ongoing legal fight that further delays attempts by Washington State and Oregon State to take control of the conference’s governing board. But the ruling was issued by the Supreme Court’s commissioner, not the judges on the court. As a result, WSU and OSU plan to appeal directly to the judges and request that they remove the stay to allow a critical preliminary injunction to take effect. That injunction, granted last month by a lower court, gave WSU and OSU control of the Pac-12 board and the financial assets that are vital to the schools left behind in the realignment game. The court commissioner’s ruling also set Dec. 12 as the deadline for all motions in the case. At that point, or soon thereafter, the Supreme Court judges will decide whether to take the case for review. In other words, a barrage of motions and stays are unfolding before the plaintiffs (the remaining ‘Pac-2...‘I can’t do a lot of things, but I can do this’: How one woman is stepping up for migrant children with disabilities
